How to Deploy Your First Server

Step-by-step guide to creating your first game server on Witchly.host, from account creation to playing with friends.

Getting Started with Witchly.host

Setting up your first game server on Witchly.host takes just a few minutes. This guide walks you through the entire process from creating your account to connecting with friends.

Step 1: Create Your Account

Head over to Dashboard and create an account. You will sign in using your Discord account through our secure OAuth2 authentication system. Make sure your Discord account is at least 30 days old, as this is required for security purposes.

Step 2: Choose Your Game

We currently support four games: Minecraft, Hytale, Rust, and Palworld. Browse our plans on the pricing page to find the right fit for your game and player count. Each game has multiple tiers designed for different server sizes and performance needs.

Step 3: Deploy Your Server

The free tier lets you deploy instantly — pick your game, choose a server type, name it, and allocate resources from your pool. No payment needed.

For more power, choose an Elite plan with dedicated hardware and pay monthly via Stripe. All tiers include full panel access, SFTP file management, and automated backups.

Step 4: Configure Your Server

Your server is automatically provisioned on the control panel at Dashboard. From here you can:

  • Set your server name and description
  • Choose your game version or modpack
  • Configure server properties (difficulty, game mode, world seed, etc.)
  • Set up automated backups

Step 5: Start Playing

Once your server is configured, hit the Start button in the panel. Your server will boot up within seconds. Share your server IP and port with friends, and you are ready to play.
