Getting Started

What is Witchly.host?
Witchly.host is a game server hosting platform offering both free and premium plans with no over-allocation. Every resource on your plan is dedicated exclusively to your server — no sharing, no throttling.
How do I create an account?
Click "Get Started" on the homepage or visit dash.witchly.host. Sign in with your Discord account — no separate registration needed.
What games do you support?
We currently support Minecraft (Java & Bedrock), Hytale, Rust, and Palworld. More games are planned for the future.
How do I deploy my first server?
After signing in at dash.witchly.host, click "Create Server," pick your game, and hit deploy. Your server will be online within seconds.
What resources does my free server get?
Every free server starts with 2 GB RAM, 100% CPU, and 4 GB disk. You can upgrade these in the store using coins.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The free tier requires no payment information at all. Just sign in with Discord and deploy.

Free Tier & Coins

How does the free tier work?
You get a fully functional game server for free. To keep it running, renew it every 7 days using coins you earn on the platform.
How do I earn coins?
Three ways: passively while on the dashboard, daily login rituals with streak bonuses up to 7 days, and referring friends.
What can I spend coins on?
Coins are used to renew your server and to purchase upgrades in the store — extra RAM, CPU, disk space, and server slots.
What happens if I don't renew my server?
Your server gets suspended after the 7-day window expires. You'll have a grace period to renew before data is permanently deleted.
Can I set up auto-renewal?
Yes. Unlock the Soul Bond feature in the store, and your server will automatically renew each cycle as long as you have enough coins.
Is there a daily coin limit?
Yes. There is a daily cap on passive coin earning to keep the economy fair and prevent abuse.
Can I transfer coins to other players?
No. Coins are tied to your account and cannot be transferred to prevent economy manipulation.

Elite Plans

What's the difference between Free and Elite?
Free tier servers are sustained with coins. Elite servers are paid monthly subscriptions with dedicated hardware, higher resource limits, and no coin renewal required.
How does Elite billing work?
Elite plans are billed monthly through Stripe. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard — no long-term contracts.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my Elite plan?
Yes. Changes are prorated, so you only pay the difference. Manage your subscription from the dashboard.
Do Elite servers need coin renewal?
No. Elite servers stay online as long as your subscription is active. Coins are only relevant for the free tier.
Can I use a promo code?
Yes. You can apply promo codes during checkout for discounts on Elite plans.
What's your refund policy?
We offer a 48-hour money-back guarantee on your first Elite order. Contact support within 48 hours of purchase for a full refund.

Server Management

How do I access my server console?
Go to dash.witchly.host, select your server, and open the Console tab. You can send commands and view live output directly in the browser.
How do I install plugins or mods?
Minecraft servers have a built-in plugin installer with Modrinth, Hangar, and CurseForge support. For other games, upload files through the file manager or SFTP.
How do I upload files to my server?
Use the web file browser in your dashboard, or connect via SFTP on port 2022 with any SFTP client like FileZilla or WinSCP.
How do backups work?
Create, restore, download, and lock backups directly from the Backups tab in your dashboard. Locked backups are protected from automatic cleanup.
Can I schedule automatic restarts?
Yes. Use the Schedules tab on your server to set up recurring restarts with cron-based timing.
How do I create a database for my server?
Go to the Databases tab on your server page and click Create Database. You'll get the host, port, username, and password instantly.
Can I give friends access to my server?
Yes. Add subusers from the Subusers tab with granular permissions — choose exactly what each person can access and control.

Technical

Where are your servers located?
Both nodes are in Falkenstein, Germany — a Tier-3 datacenter with excellent connectivity to Europe and NA East.
What does "no over-allocation" mean?
Every resource on your plan — CPU, RAM, disk — is reserved exclusively for your server. We never oversell or share resources between customers.
What hardware do you use?
High-clock-speed processors optimized for game servers, NVMe storage in RAID-1 for speed and redundancy, and 1 Gbps network connectivity.
Can I use a custom domain for my server?
Yes. Point an SRV record to your server's address and port. See our docs at witchly.host/docs for a step-by-step guide.
What control panel do you use?
We built a custom web dashboard at dash.witchly.host with server management, file browser, console, backups, and more — all in one place.
Do you have DDoS protection?
Yes. Basic network-level DDoS protection is included on all servers to mitigate common attacks.

Account & Security

How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings in your dashboard, scroll to the Danger Zone, and click Delete Account. This action is permanent and removes all your data.
Is my data safe?
Yes. We run daily automated backups and use NVMe RAID-1 storage for redundancy. Your server data is protected against drive failures.
How do referrals work?
Share your unique referral link from the dashboard. When someone signs up through it, both of you earn bonus coins.
Can I have multiple accounts?
No. We enforce a one-account-per-person policy with anti-alt detection. Duplicate accounts will be suspended.
