Managing Your Account and Billing

Witchly.host uses a straightforward account system designed to get you up and running quickly. This guide covers everything from creating your account to understanding how billing works for both the free tier and Elite plans.

Creating Your Account

Witchly.host uses Discord OAuth2 for authentication. Instead of creating a separate username and password, you sign in with your existing Discord account. Here is how it works:

  1. Visit Dashboard and click Sign In.
  2. You will be redirected to Discord’s authorization page. Review the permissions and click Authorize.
  3. Your Witchly account is created automatically using your Discord profile information.

That is it. No email verification, no password setup, no additional forms.

Account age requirement: Your Discord account must be at least 30 days old to create a Witchly account. This security measure helps prevent abuse and protects our community. If your Discord account is newer than 30 days, you will need to wait until it meets the requirement.

Your Dashboard

Once signed in, the dashboard at Dashboard is your central hub for everything on Witchly.host. From here you can:

  • View and manage all your game servers
  • Deploy new servers (free or Elite)
  • Access the server control panel (console, files, settings)
  • Track your coin balance and visit the store
  • Earn coins on the Earn page
  • Claim your daily ritual bonus
  • View your transaction history
  • Generate and share referral links

Two Billing Models

Witchly.host has two completely separate billing models depending on which tier you use.

Free Tier: Coin-Based Renewals

Free tier servers have no monetary cost. You sign up, deploy a server from your resource pool, and start playing. There is no checkout and no payment information required.

Free servers run for 7 days at a time. To keep your server running, you renew it for 500 coins. Coins are earned through:

  • Passive siphoning — 1 coin/min on the Earn page (250/day cap)
  • Daily ritual — 50-350 coins/day depending on your login streak
  • Referrals — 500 coins when someone signs up with your link

You can also purchase the Soul Bond upgrade from the store (5,000 coins) to enable automatic renewal. With Soul Bond, your server renews every 7 days as long as you have sufficient coins.

Elite Tier: Stripe Subscriptions

Elite servers are paid monthly through Stripe, one of the most trusted payment processors in the world. We never store your credit card details on our servers — Stripe handles all sensitive payment data securely.

Accepted payment methods:

  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • Additional methods may be available depending on your region

How to deploy an Elite server:

  1. Log in to Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the Elite deployment page for your game (/servers/deploy/elite/[game]).
  3. Pick your egg, choose a plan, and name your server.
  4. Optionally apply a promo code for a discount.
  5. Complete payment through Stripe.
  6. Your server is provisioned immediately.

Billing cycle: All Elite plans are billed monthly. Your billing date is set to the day you first subscribe, and you will be charged on that same day each month.

Invoices and receipts: Every payment generates an invoice that you can view in your dashboard. Stripe also sends email receipts to the email address associated with your Discord account.

Canceling an Elite Subscription

You can cancel your Elite subscription at any time through the dashboard. When you cancel:

  • Your server remains active until the end of your current billing cycle.
  • No further charges will be made.
  • After the billing period ends, your server will be suspended and eventually deleted.
  • Download any files you want to keep before your subscription expires.

We recommend downloading a full backup of your server via SFTP before cancellation.

Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with your Witchly hosting experience. Our refund policy is as follows:

Elite (paid) plans: You may request a full refund within 48 hours of your initial purchase. This applies to first-time purchases only. To request a refund, contact our support team on Discord.

After 48 hours: Refunds are generally not available after the 48-hour window, as server resources are allocated and reserved for your account. If you experience a technical issue that we cannot resolve, reach out to support and we will review your case individually.

Free tier and coins: Free tier servers and resources earned or purchased through the coin economy are not eligible for monetary refunds, as no money is involved.

Managing Multiple Servers

Your Witchly account supports multiple game servers across both tiers. You can have free servers and Elite servers running simultaneously on the same account.

Your account has a resource pool that tracks your total allocated resources for the free tier. Coin economy upgrades are added to this pool and can be distributed across your free servers. Elite servers have their own dedicated resource allocations based on the plan you selected.

Account Security

Since your Witchly account is tied to your Discord account, your security depends on your Discord account security. We recommend:

  • Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on Discord. This is the single most important thing you can do to protect your account.
  • Do not share your Discord credentials with anyone.
  • Be cautious of phishing attempts. Witchly staff will never ask for your Discord password. Our only official login page is at Dashboard.

If you believe your account has been compromised, secure your Discord account immediately and contact us on Discord.

Billing FAQ

Q: Do I need a credit card for the free tier? A: No. The free tier requires only a Discord account. No payment information is needed.

Q: Can I have both free and Elite servers? A: Yes. Both tiers coexist on the same account.

Q: What happens if my Elite payment fails? A: If a recurring payment fails, we will retry the charge and notify you. Your server remains active during a short grace period. If the payment issue is not resolved, your server will be suspended.

Q: Do you offer annual billing or discounts? A: We currently offer monthly billing only. Keep an eye on our Discord announcements for any promotional offers.

Q: Can I transfer my server to another account? A: Server transfers are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support on Discord for assistance.
